Level 2 British Cycling Mountain Bike Leadership Award Training

Course Overview

The mountains, hills and rugged terrain of North Wales provide a stunning backdrop to the British Cycling Level 2 MTB Leadership Award, as the skills of effective Leadership are outlined through practical and engaging activities on some of Snowdonia's most challenging mountain bike venues. British Cycling's Level 2 Mountain Bike Leadership Award enables experienced mountain bikers to safely guide riders in mountainous terrain and provide them with a great day out.
As we all know, mountainous terrain is not always simple - and nor should it be - and when operating in the great outdoors it is crucial that a mountain bike leader is properly trained and qualified to deal with all eventualities. The Level 2 qualification provides expert advice to enable you to be confident as a leader in a variety of terrain, while allowing you the freedom to tailor rides to suit you and your group's needs. Equally, being a leader gives you the opportunity to share your passion for mountain biking with others and we are certain that your ride participants will leave hungry for more.

Customer Reviews For This Course

Great course

Len Wallace

Course was really good with some top tips for improvement from Paul Warnock (Instructor). After Day 2 I really felt like I had improved and had a good idea of what the assessment involved. The ride on day 2 was really good fun and a good test of fitness.

Dispite all that the Welsh weather threw at us we had a fantastic day

Nichole Read

I had an amazing day at Plas y Brenin on my moutain bike leaders course. The course was well delivered with a good mix of practical and theory. The staff were outstanding both encouraging and proffessional. I felt confident when I left to continue on my path to be a Mountain Bike leader. I am now really looking forward to the accreditation day and know exactly what I need to work on to acheive my full potential.
Thankyou all very much!!!
I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to be confident to lead small groups of people off road.
