If you stand on the Cromlech bridge facing towards Pen y Pass, look left and then walk 150m up you will come across a boulder field with this small dry stone wall construction inside it.
The first of two primitive toilets rumoured to have been built by climbers camping at the Cromlech 20-30 years ago (The second is about 200m further on).
On close inspection they appear to be quite elaborate with a green water supply and a foul pipe system to take waste out. They obviously had timber roofs too although these days there is little left of them. The plastic toilet seats that remain are the most striking reminder of this environmental talking point.
