Self-heal is a member of the mint family and the clue is in the name with this one. Throughout the years Self Heal has been used as a herbal cure for just about anything. It has been documented across the world as being of great medicinal value although the ailments it cures vary from country to country. In Europe as a cure for headaches, In colonial America as a remedy for stomach cramps and worms, in New Zealand to heal stubborn wounds and in China as a treatment for high blood pressure. Commonly across most countries it appears it was used as a cure for sore throats.
