John Cousins (May)
It's pretty hard not to like Sundews.
They have a lovely name, look like something from another planet and, best of all, they eat midges. The only down side is that having built up the idea of an undernourished plant that catches bugs to supplement its diet it comes as a bit of a disappointment to find that they are smaller than your little finger nail and can be quite hard to spot. Hopefully someone will get a picture later in the season when the distinctive stemmed, yellow flower appears.
