Young rabbits are everywhere at the moment, sometimes in groups of 20 or
more. This was one of several feeding on the Plas y Brenin lawn very early this morning.
Wild Rabbits live in dry, well-drained slopes in open country where predators like foxes and birds of prey are easily spotted. That's why, if you watch closely, you'll notice one rabbit is always on guard when the herd are feeding.
At the first sign of danger the guard stamps their feet and the whole herd will immediately bolt down their burrows.
