Stunning displays of English Stonecrop have heralded the arrival of summer.
Unfortuantely the weather hasn't!
Stonecrop is beautiful little flower which
is an early coloniser of scree slopes. It can been seen right across the
mountains now and is particularly abundant in the big disused slate quarries
above Llanberis. This fine example was spotted in the thin acidic soil above
Carreg Foel Gron. Stonecrop was once used to cure piles and warts!
