John Cousins (September)
I took this photo from my canoe on Saturday of the 'Fifer Lass' aground on a well charted rock at Rhoscolyn Bay on Anglesey. There are neap tides at the moment and perhaps this gentle range between high and low water had lulled the crew into a false sense of security but they were stuck for more than four hours before limping away.
Our sea kayakers were out the same day and for them neap tides mean less powerful currents, which can be seen as a good or a bad thing depending on what level of adventure you are after.
It looks like the Fifer Lass got a bit more adventure than they had bargained for!
