Overview
On our doorstep we have the Gwydir forest, Penmachno forest, Beddgelert forest, Bryn Engan forest, Coed y Brenin forest, Clocaenog forest, and Newborough forest. All of which are within easy reach, and all with miles and miles of accessible gravel tracks and trails to explore. Couple this with open moorland, spectacular scenery of mountains, lakes, rivers and the sea, make for an unforgettable experience on the bike. On this course we will cover lots of off-road gravel riding as well as a taster of loading up the bike and spending a night out in the wilds. The course will also cover some important and useful skills, such as: riding techniques, to level up your skills on the bike. We will look at bike and equipment set up, what to carry and some fundamental safety checks and maintenance to keep your bike running whilst out there. We may ride out of the door at Plas y Brenin or we will provide transport to a venue a short drive away. Book residential and enjoy the comfort and convenience of an ensuite room with all of your meals taken care of. Enjoy some down time and socialising in our fully stocked bar with a one off view of the Snowdon and share the days tales with others. During your stay you can also make use of our drying room facilities and climbing wall. From the time you arrive until you depart. Experience Required
Able to ride a bike off road on tracks, forest roads (green graded terrain). Fit enough to ride all day off road with 800-1000m of ascent.
