We Feel it's Very Important for You to Progress at Your Own Pace,

Therefore we carefully select climbs that suit your aspirations and ability. Each morning the course staff will decide on a venue which is best suited to the weather conditions and the group. Our programme's flexible, but we'll try to visit a range of venues, from high mountain crags to sea cliffs. For the first two days we'll visit single pitch crags (less than one rope length high). For the final three days, we split into smaller groups and tackle some of the larger multi pitch crags. Over the week, we intend to look at the following areas

Lots of good climbing and movement coaching

Climbing hardware and equipment

Ropework for single and multi pitch crags

Abseiling (with self protection)

Understanding the principles of lead climbing

Judgement, route choice and route finding (a good nose for where it goes!)

The BMC • services and clubs

You should have some indoor climbing experience. If you're unsure about ability level, don't let that put you off, give us a call and we can chat it through with you.
