Overview

Based in the spectacular Scottish highlands where there’s an exciting array of diverse rivers. This 6 day course, which includes one day of rest in the middle, will take you on the most talked about rivers in Scotland as well as pushing forward your personal skills. This will be things like the breath taking gorges of the Spean and Findhorn, the remote and committing feel of the Roy and the photogenic river Etive and its tributaries….

The Objectives

To introduce the intermediate white water kayaker to the home of Scottish white water, experience the classic runs of the highlands and build on your personal skills

What to Expect Five days delving into the advanced gorges and technical nature of the more obscure Scottish gems. Please meet your instructor at 9am on the first morning of the course at the Morrison Cafe in Fort William (An Aird, Road, Fort William PH33 6XZ)

Competent roll, happy on grade three and looking to move into the advanced environment

What do I need to bring?
All you really need to bring is sufficient base clothing to wear, and some suitable footwear and your Kayak and equipment. We do have an extensive selection of different styles of kayaks, equipment and paddles from a range of manufacturers that can be borrowed with prior arrangement.
How should I prepare?
Spend some time in your kayak honing things like forward drive, edge work and accelerations, recent experience on grade three rapids
