We have extensive on-site facilities for use by course participants and visitors.
Like many old buildings, the configuration of the rooms and facilities at Plas y Brenin is not ideal if you have restricted mobility. However, we have made modifications which give wheelchair access to the ground floor, and we have four bedrooms with en-suite facilities fully equipped for disabled access. Yes – the pool is available for hire every day on an hourly basis to paddlers. One person must be qualified and responsible for the party. Contact reception for availability.
Yes, just enquire at reception or book yourself in for a session here.
Visiting groups and individuals can arrange to use the skills course and pump track. Contact reception for availability and simply bring your bike and register at reception.
For groups wishing to use the facility, a form must be completed and verified before use for the first time.
Our equipment stores is packed with the latest gear, all up to date and well maintained. We have a full range of mountaineering equipment and much of it is available for hire at good rates. Whether you need a pair of boots, ice axe, pair of crampons, or a rucksack it is worth getting in touch to check out the cost of hiring our gear. We are just about the only place in North Wales where you can hire technical equipment. When you come on a course at Plas y Brenin all the equipment you need is provided without charge.
We have free WiFi provided by Purple WiFi. You can log on using your Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin account, or if you prefer, by creating a Purple WiFi account. Once logged on you’ll be able to enjoy free WiFi wherever you are around the centre.
Mobile phone signal in Snowdonia is limited in places. However, on-site the following networks are generally available; O2 and EE. If you can’t get signal and need to use the phone, please enquire at reception.
