FAQs
Minimum Ages
Our advertised courses are for those aged 18 years and over unless otherwise stated (for example on our Summer Camps).
The minimum age for course participation is 14 years with the exception of Summer Camps and Adventure Experiences for Families. 14-15-year-olds will only be accepted onto one of our advertised courses on a case-by-case basis and then only if accompanied by a parent or guardian taking legal responsibility attending the same course. A booking for a 14-15-year-old needs to be approved by one of our Safeguarding team. Before making a booking please e-mail bookings@pyb.co.uk detailing the course you would like to attend, the age of the child attending with you and a daytime telephone number and one of the team will contact you to discuss this further.
A 16-17-year-old can book a place on one of our residential courses but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with legal responsibilities to act in ‘loco parentis’ during the evening and overnight. The parent or guardian may attend the same or a different course to the 16-17 year-old, or simply book accommodation and food only. Alternatively, a 16-17-year-old can book a non-residential place on one of our courses.
We also run dedicated Summer Camps for unaccompanied 12-17-year-olds. Please click here for further information.
For children 8 years and upwards please take a look at our Group and Family Adventure packages.
