PYB Membership Terms & Conditions
Membership Acceptance:
Membership acceptance is at the discretion of Plas y Brenin National Outdoor Centre.
Plas y Brenin reserves the right to refuse or revoke membership without providing a specific reason. Membership cards and associated benefits are non-transferable.
Age Requirement: This membership scheme is exclusively available to individuals aged 18 and above.
The membership program is not open to staff enrolment, and brand partners are not eligible to participate in any prize draws or competitions.
Membership Benefits:
Membership benefits are subject to change, and Plas y Brenin reserves the right to modify or withdraw benefits without prior notice.
Benefits are non-transferable and are exclusively for the named member.
Prize Draws/Marketing: In the event that you win a prize draw as a member, we seek your agreement to have your name printed in our member newsletter updates. Additionally, we may request your consent for a photograph. Your permission to print your name is essential to ensure transparency and credibility in our competitions.
Course Bookings:
Course bookings are subject to availability.
Members must adhere to course pre-requisites and requirements.
Member benefits and discounts are applicable solely to new course bookings initiated from the commencement of the membership.
Accommodation Bookings:
Accommodation reservations are contingent upon availability and apply specifically to bed and breakfast lodgings, excluding course bookings.
Bookings for rooms made using the membership are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Discounts on accommodation are applicable to the specified membership tier.
Accommodation cancellations and refunds are subject to Plas y Brenin’s cancellation policy.
To confirm your identity as the named member, PYB may request proof of identity at its discretion. This verification may occur upon arrival. Acceptable forms of identification include photographic ID, such as a driving license or passport.
Personal Information:
Members agree to provide accurate and up-to-date personal information during the registration process.
Plas y Brenin will handle personal information in accordance with its privacy policy.

Restrictions on the courses eligible for the member discount:
The member discount typically applies to a wide range of courses at PYB, with the exception of Private instruction, Summer Camps, Fast Track and Embark. It’s important to be aware that PYB retains the right to adjust the list of eligible courses and their corresponding dates for member discounts as required.
Membership Fee:
Membership fees are non-refundable.
Plas y Brenin reserves the right to adjust membership fees with advance notice.
Member Conduct:
Members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner.
Plas y Brenin reserves the right to terminate the membership of any individual displaying inappropriate behaviour.
Museum Wall Inscription:
The offer to have names inscribed on the PYB museum wall is applicable to the first 100 Gold Members.
Plas y Brenin will determine the display details, and the member names will be added at the Centre’s discretion.
Event Participation:
Members attending Plas y Brenin events must adhere to event guidelines and any specific terms outlined for each occasion.
Subscription Period:
Annual subscriptions cannot be suspended or extended beyond the expiry date stipulated on the membership subscription.
Communication Preferences:
Upon joining, members may receive communications such as newsletters. Opt-out options are available for those who wish to manage their preferences.
By joining Plas y Brenin National Outdoor Centre, members agree to comply with these terms and conditions. It is advisable to review them periodically for any updates.
Lapsed Membership:
Membership is considered ‘lapsed’ if not renewed by the expiry date.
Price Adjustments:
Plas y Brenin reserves the right to adjust membership fees with prior notification.
Changes to Terms and Conditions:
Plas y Brenin reserves the right to modify terms, conditions, or membership benefits where necessary without prior notice.
Termination of Membership:
Plas y Brenin reserves the right to terminate a membership for violation of these terms and conditions or any unacceptable behaviour
Governing Law:
These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
By becoming a Plas y Brenin National Outdoor Centre member, individuals agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Plas y Brenin reserves the right to amend these terms at any time, and members are encouraged to review them periodically.
