As a National Outdoor Centre, Plas y Brenin develops the people that develop the outdoor sector – from instructors to centre managers to expedition leaders to NGB officers to policymakers. This includes developing inspiring coaches, instructors and leaders in adventure sports, be they volunteers or working professionally in the sector, to better support people, from all backgrounds to get active in the outdoors.
By hosting conferences, symposiums and meetings, we bring together practitioners from across the UK (and beyond) to share learning, transfer good practice and raise standards. With a world-class reputation, this inspirational venue is also committed to helping individuals nurture their skills and confidence for independent adventures.

Head of Finance
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership while maintaining hands-on oversight of the day-to-day operations of the finance function for the National Outdoor Centre at Plas y Brenin. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide financial management and insight that supports informed decision-making, organisational and commercial performance and long-term sustainability.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a lean £4m+ organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring robust financial control, effective governance, accurate reporting and excellent financial planning, whilst leading the ongoing transformation of the finance function.
The role will cover both the charitable activity of the Centre (Mountain Training Trust) and all commercial activities (Mountain Training Ltd).
This is an opportunity to lead a finance team that not only delivers exceptional financial stewardship but is a trusted strategic partner to the wider organisation.
Food & Beverage Manager
Are you an experienced and ambitious Food and Beverage Manager looking for a new challenge, where you can really make your mark whilst working in one of the most stunning locations in the UK?

Night Porter
As a Night Porter you will provide essential front-of-house reception coverage outside of normal operating hours. You will oversee building security, manage out-of-hours maintenance, and take charge of emergency evacuation procedures. Additionally, you will ensure effective communication between night and day shifts and support various operational functions as needed. Your role is pivotal in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
Housekeeping Assistant
As a Housekeeping assistant,,you will work with the Housekeeping team to deliver a high-quality housekeeping service across Plas y Brenin, ensuring accommodation, public areas, and facilities are cleaned, prepared, and maintained to a consistently high professional standard. The role contributes directly to providing a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and positive experience for all visitors, staff, and stakeholders.
