REC Mountain First Aid

Rope Work for Rigging in the Outdoor Environment

  • 2 DAY
  • Provides accredited CPD for full AMI members and MTA members and will be a Rescue 3 Safe Working at Height certified course to show competency in twin rope systems.

This is a course for anybody involved in rigging safety systems in the outdoor environment e.g. Film Crews, Stunt Riggers and Outdoor Instructors. It will cover twin rope systems associated with industrial based structures or outside location work.

Rescue 3 Safe Working At Height

The Safe Working at Height (SWAH) course provides insight into the dangers that workers face when working at height and the current legislation in this area. Often, workers are faced with working at height during their jobs. Employment regulations clearly state that this must be done safely. The training is a good foundation for those who wish to move on to specialist rope work and climbing qualifications.

Rescue 3 Rope Rescue Operator

  • 2 DAYS
  • Prior experience of working with ropes is recommended.

This five day course introduces the rope knowledge and skills required by personnel to operate safely and effectively as a member of a Rope Rescue Operator team, undertaking rescues using the skills covered in the course. The techniques, equipment, and straightforward venues with limited environmental complexity, should be gold standard examples, providing a clear mental model of the best practice for operating as a rope rescue team.

Our aim is to give every inner-city child the opportunity to be inspired and motivated by the rugged outdoors and the challenges mountain environments have to offer. With your help, we aim to enable up to 360 kids to attend one of our courses in 2023.
