Have a Go at paddling!

If you’re looking for a peaceful way to soak in the mountain scenery, our sit-on-top kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddleboard hire is the perfect way to get out on the water. Designed for those who just want to have a go, these sessions offer you the freedom to explore Llynnau Mymbyr at your own pace without the pressure of a structured class.

You’ll be provided with all the essential gear—including buoyancy aids—so you can simply launch from the shore and enjoy the incredible reflections of the Yr Wyddfa horseshoe and Moel Siabod on the water. It’s a wonderfully relaxed, low-stakes way to connect with the landscape and enjoy a bit of time on the lake, whether you’re paddling solo or sharing the experience with friends and family.

Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes (and shoes if you have them)- you’ll get wet!

Have a Go at mountain biking!

You can grab one of our bikes and head straight to our purpose-built trails and pump track, which are designed specifically to be friendly and approachable.

Whether you want to try our singletrack skills trails or just have a bit of lighthearted fun testing your balance on the rollers and berms of the pump track, it’s all about enjoying the fresh air and stunning scenery at your own pace.

There’s no pressure to be an expert—just hop on, get comfortable, and discover how much fun two wheels can be in the heart of Eryri.

Have a Go at indoor climbing!

If you’re curious about climbing but aren’t quite ready to scale a mountain, a Have a Go bouldering sessions at the Plas y Brenin indoor wall is the perfect starting point.

Designed specifically for total novices, these sessions take the stress out of climbing by keeping things close to the ground, with mats beneath you and no ropes or harnesses required.

You can simply turn up, put on some climbing shoes, and start exploring our wide variety of colourful, easy-to-follow routes at your own pace. It’s a fantastic, relaxed way to test your strength and balance while picking up the basics of movement in a friendly, supportive environment.

Whether you’re with friends, family, or just looking for a new way to spend an hour, it’s all about having fun, building confidence, and enjoying the thrill of trying something new.
