Peak PS Demo PFDs are now available in stores

Getting the right fit in a PFD isn’t just about comfort; it’s about how it performs when you’re actually moving. For women, the traditional “unisex” foam blocks have often been a compromise—either sitting too high, feeling restrictive across the chest, or shifting around the moment you start paddling dynamically. 

We’re big believers that your kit should feel like it’s part of you, allowing you to focus entirely on your skills and the environment. That’s why we’ve just added two new sets of women’s specific PFDs from PeakPS to our stores at Plas y Brenin. 

We now have the Wrapid Vest and the Wraptor Zip available as demo stock for use on our courses. 

What makes these different is the “Wrap” foam system. Instead of flat panels, the foam is shaped to contour around the body. The women’s versions feature a unique chest section designed specifically to fit comfortably and securely without the “crushing” feeling of standard buoyancy aids. 

• The Wrapid Vest: This is an over-the-head entry PFD. It’s low-profile, sleek, and stays exactly where you put it. It’s a great choice if you want something that feels minimal but offers plenty of movement for freestyle or technical river running.

• The Wraptor Zip: If you prefer a front-entry jacket, the Wraptor uses a clever side-entry zip system that still maintains that “wrap-around” foam feel. It’s incredibly easy to get on and off over layers without sacrificing that snug, integrated fit.

Both models are part of Peak’s Eco range, using Gaia non-PVC foam and recycled polyester shells, which aligns nicely with our commitment to looking after the places we play.
