During the five days, we’ll develop the skills required to lead others in advanced conditions defined as grade 3/4 white water and large sections of open water where the paddlers are more than 500m from the shore and in winds that exceed force 4.
We’ll ensure you leave the course with a clear picture of the assessment standards, what the assessments look like and a clear action plan towards your assessments.
By the end of this training, you’ll be a more confident leader, possessing the necessary personal paddling, rescue, safety, leadership, and group skills required for the awards. This course brings you one step closer to becoming an Advanced White Water Canoe Leader and an Advanced Open Water Canoe Leader and equips you with effective leadership techniques and boat control in the advanced water environments.

The primary objective of this training is to enhance your leadership abilities and prepare you for the Advanced White Water Canoe Leader and Advanced Open Water Canoe Leader assessments.
