This course is here to provide Sup paddlers with the skills and understanding of how to stay safe when paddling in sheltered water conditions. If you’re relatively new to stand up paddle boarding and want to raise your awareness on how to paddle your SUP safely and learn simple solutions for if you get into difficulty, then this course is for you!
The primary objective of this training is to provide you with the knowledge of how to stay safe out on your SUP. The training will help you plan journeys factoring in weather conditions and what equipment you may need to keep you safe and techniques for rescuing yourself and others.
You’ll learn safety frameworks to help prevent situations from happening and learn simple solutions to dealing with mishaps should they happen.
This is a practical course full of solutions to dealing with issues that may arise when paddling your Stand-Up paddleboard in sheltered water environments.
By the end of this training, you’ll be more confident in planning trips, understanding the equipment required to keep you safe, how to assist others and techniques for rescuing yourself and others.
This course is open to all Sup paddlers even if you have limited SUP experience.
