Overview
This assessment focuses on your ability to function as a White Water Kayak coach, emphasizing coaching skills for Grade 2-3 white water. Successfully passing this assessment is a significant step towards obtaining your White Water Kayak Coach Award Qualification.

During the assessment, you will deliver two coaching sessions lasting 90 minutes each in moderate white water conditions. To excel in this assessment, it’s essential to be physically prepared for challenging days on white water. Regular kayaking experience is also crucial before attending. Expect a rigorous evaluation that assesses your coaching skills, personal proficiency, leadership qualities, and safety and rescue capabilities in Grade 2-3 white water settings. - Core Training Coach Award
- Discipline Specific Training
- White Water Kayak Leadership Award
- The following minimum standards of deployment:
- In date First Aid Training
- Safeguarding Training
- Full Home Nation Association Membership
- Aged 16 or over at the time of assessment
