If you’ve been captivated by white water kayaking and are ready to elevate your skills, this 5-day course in Snowdonia is perfect for you. Under the guidance of specialized coaches, you’ll focus on more advanced techniques like breaking in and out, ferry gliding, and surfing standing waves on grade II and III waters.
Day one establishes the fundamental skills and introduces essential safety and rescue techniques. The week continues with a mix of river trips and site-based coaching sessions, helping you master more intricate skills. By the end of this intensive course, you’ll have refined your paddling abilities and gained a deeper understanding of river reading, rescue, and rolling.
The Objectives
By the end of the course, you should have refined your existing paddling skills and learned more advanced techniques such as; breaking in and out, ferry gliding, surfing standing waves and small stoppers. You’ll also have gained knowledge of; river reading, and rescue and rolling.

What to Expect
On day one we’ll cover the fundamental skills underpinning white water kayaking. You’ll put these into practice and develop them throughout the week on a series of river trips. We’ll also deliver some static, site-based coaching sessions, and introduce you to essential safety and rescue skills.
Experience Required
You should already be a confident flat water paddler with the ability to manoeuvre your craft with ease, and be able to perform a confident and controlled capsize.
How Should I Prepare?
You’ll need to be fit enough to enjoy five days of activity and have kayaked previously.
