Join us for an exciting summer camp focused on enhancing your kayaking abilities. In this course, you’ll dive into the world of slicey kayaks and discover how to navigate the water with style and finesse. Over five days, we’ll equip you with the tools to move smoothly and efficiently on the river, helping you gain the skills to handle challenging situations through controlled practice. The goal is to elevate your kayaking expertise and leave you ready to impress your friends with your newfound abilities.
Our objective is simple – to get you into the expressive realm of river kayaking. We want to help you “wow” your friends with your kayaking prowess. To achieve this, we’ll spend the first day delving into white water techniques and the nuances of slicey kayaks, teaching you how to make the most of these kayaks to your advantage. The next five days will be dedicated to building your skills and confidence in your slicey kayak.
You’ll start by mastering the basics of paddling a slicey kayak and understanding its intricacies. To participate in this camp, you should already have a competent roll and be comfortable on grade three white water. Over the course of the camp, you’ll spend time honing techniques like forward drive, edge work, and accelerations. Get ready for three days of fun and skill-building on the river!

All you really need to bring is sufficient base clothing to wear, and some suitable footwear and your slicey kayak and equipment. Kayaks can be borrowed on prior arrangement.
